A mother and her blind son were burgled while out collecting money for charity.

A Spanish language laptop, an iPhone and cash were stolen from the victims’ house on Woodhill Lane in Morecambe.

Police are appealing for people to come forward with information following the incident on Friday, May 10.

The break-in took place between noon and 6pm when the burglar forced entry and stole items from the bedroom.

Detective Constable Gill Topping from Morecambe CID said: “The family need this Spanish keyboard laptop on a daily basis and as such would be worth very little to anyone else.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Morecambe CID on 10 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org .
