Assaults linked by police

POLICE say they are linking two random assaults which happened during the early hours of Sunday morning.

In the first incident, just before midnight on September 23, a 16-year-old youth was walking along Westminster Road when he was approached by two men he didn’t know.

They punched and kicked him and then ran off, getting into a silver VW Golf.

Luckily, the victim was not injured.

Half an hour later, a 29-year-old man was walking along Euston Road when a silver VW Golf stopped next to him.

A man got out of the rear seat of the car and punched the victim for no reason.

In this instance, the victim was also left uninjured.

One of the attackers is described as slim, with short blond hair, wearing a light blue tracksuit.

Two others are described as between 17 and 18-years-old, one with short black hair wearing dark clothing and the other wearing a white hooded top.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
