A large congregation welcomed the Archbishop of York on his visit to Lancaster Priory church.

Dr John Sentamu was there to dedicate the church’s new organ. Many people who contributed to raising money for the new organ were present, along with those who had taken part in the building of the organ, and members of local churches.

The following evening again saw a packed church for the Inaugural Recital, given by Professor Ian Tracey, Organist of Liverpool Cathedral.

The celebratory week concluded with a Festival Concert on September 15.
