Police have released an Evofit of a man in connection with a hit and run.

Police are re-appealing for information and have issued an Evofit image of a man they are looking to speak to after a hit and run in Morecambe.

There was a collision on Green Street where a 29 year old man was hit by a car which failed to stop at the scene.

The man suffered serious leg injuries and was taken through to Royal Lancaster Infirmary where he had surgery on his leg.

He is now recovering at home.

The vehicle, believed to be a white car, hit the man, then drove from the scene down Townely Street.

DC Jill Neil said: “Although the reasons are unclear at this stage, we believe that this vehicle was deliberately driven towards the victim and we are very keen to speak to anyone that has any information that could help us trace the person responsible.

“If anyone recognises the man in the image or if anyone witnessed the collision they are asked to contact officers by calling 101 quoting log number LC-20131216-0853.”

The hit and run occurred at 4.30pm on December 16.
