Appeal after antiques stolen from centre

A trinket box and brooch were stolen from an antiques centre in Lancaster.

Police said that a man went into GB Antiques on Wyresdale Road and made his way to a table in the store.

He picked up an item from the table, which he then placed in his pocket.

The man then wandered around the store, came back to the table and stole another item before he walked out of the shop, failing to pay for either item.

The man is believed to have left the car park with another man in a pink Vauxhall Vivaro van which is alleged to be from the Fleetwood area.

The light green leather trinket boxtaken had a green oval porcelain piece on top with white Fleur D’Elise painted on it.

It had a green flap-over press-in button and measured approximately 3 x 3 inches and half an inch deep.

The small sterling silver bar brooch, approximately 1 inch long and 2/10ths inch wide was engraved with “baby” marking on the back.

The theft happened at 1pm on July 8. Call police on 10 if you recognise the man captured on CCTV.#
