The British Everest record-holder is bringing a brand new show to Lancaster.
Mountaineer Kenton Cool is touring UK theatres with his brand new ‘audience with…’ style lecture show, ‘Everest’.
In May 2012, Cool reached the summit of Everest for a British record-breaking 10th time.
He also fulfilled a 90-year-old Olympic pledge by taking the gold medal awarded to the 1922 British Everest Expedition to the summit of the world’s tallest and most iconic mountain, just weeks before London 2012 opened.
Kenton has also climbed extensively in the Himalaya and the Alps, as well as making some notable first ascents in Alaska and Greenland. April of this year saw Kenton accompanying Sir Ranulph Fiennes on the legendary explorer’s third attempt to scale Everest.
The show is on Wednesday, February 27 at the Dukes, Lancaster.
