Attempted robbery in Morecambe

POLICE in Morecambe are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in the resort on the evening of Monday, August 25.
A young female threatened an elderly woman on Church Walk, near Thornton Road, at about 10pm asking her to hand over her purse.

Police would particularly like to speak with a man who witnessed the incident. He is described as aged about 60 with grey hair and a large, grey beard.
