A BURGLAR tried to break in to the post office at Over Kellet but failed to get in because of a brick wall.
The postmistress heard dogs barking at around 2am on January 28 and looked out of her window to see a man running away.
Police said she found a door panel, a pane of glass and a chipboard panel had been smashed through but because a brick wall was behind them, the man failed in his attempt.
