A HEADER from Michael Twiss 12 minutes from time earned the Shrimps an excellent draw against the League 2 title winners.
Twiss headed home from Wayne Curtis's lay off to give his side a point they fully deserved.
Morecambe had to come from behind as Aaron Wilbrahim gave the home side the lead five minutes before the break when a Jemal Johnson shot was beaten down by Jim Bentley but the fall fell perfectly for the striker who scored from close range.
The home side started the second half brightly and Shwan Jalal made some fine blocks before Twiss stepped up to score from close range and finish the season in style.
