LANCASTER City boss Barrie Stimpson breathed a sigh of relief this week after the club won their first cup match in nearly two years.
City's Lenny Reid scored the only goal of the game as they beat Leek Town in the FA Trophy to set up a home clash with Rugby Town on October 18.

Stimpson said: "I had no regrets about some of the losses in the cups over the last couple of season because I took the opportunity to rotate players.

"But we always want to do well in the FA Cup and the Trophy and so after the massive disappointment of losing in the FA Cup to Salford, it was nice to win.

"We showed dogged determination against a Leek side who are decent and were unbeaten.

"The only slight disappointment was that we had chances to break and put the game to bed with a second goal."
