LANCASTER City recovered from a nightmare start at Ossett Albion but still returned from Yorkshire with nothing.
Powerful striker Gareth Hamlet put Ossett in front in the first minute, hardly the ideal start for City as they looked to move on from their FA cup exit last week.

But Barrie Stimpson's side were soon back on level terms in this UniBond Division One North clash as Lee Dodgson pounced to make it 1-1 in the ninth minute.

However, it was Ossett who emerged with the three points and maintained their place in the play-off spots with a 59th minute winner from Shane Kelsey.

City have a re-arranged game at Trafford on Saturday. The game was set up following the two sides' respective defeats in the FA Cup last week.
