SAMMY McIlroy felt his side were 'back on track' after Saturday's 1-0 win over Barnet.
The Shrimps had gone four games without a win going into the potentially tricky trip to Underhill.

But a Garry Thompson goal kept Morecambe in touch with the play-off pack and only six points off second-placed Darlington.

>> Barnet 0-1 Morecambe

McIlroy said: "We had big performances all over the park and Barnet, who have had a good run of late, never really troubled us.

"We knew a win was important to get us back on the right track and once we went ahead I couldn't see us losing the lead.

"I was really pleased with the way we went about the game and to get a clean sheet was a real boost as well."

The Shrimps are at home this weekend with a game against Macclesfield, one of McIlroy's former clubs.
