Woman cut free from car after accident

A 58-YEAR-OLD Morecambe woman is recovering in hospital after suffering injuries in a car crash on Saturday morning.
The woman was driving a Citroen C3 which collided with a Land Rover Discovery on the A6 at Bolton-le-Sands at 9.45am.

She had to be cut free from the car by fire crews before being taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary after suffering a broken pelvis, a broken foot and internal injuries.

The female driver of the Land Rover, also from Morecambe, suffered minor injuries.

The collision caused the road to be closed for more than two hours.
