AS downpours hit the country, there was water almost everywhere - but not in hundreds of homes in Forton and Scorton last night, Thursday.
The supply is now back on in properties cut off by a burst main.

United Utilities said areas were affected by a burst main disruption on Thursday night.

Engineers turned the water off while they investigated and repaired the broken water main, which was below a field in Garstang.

A spokesman for the company said supplies were reinstated in the early hours of Friday.
