A MUCH-LOVED pet tortoise who makes a distinctive "wheezing" sound has gone missing from her home on Heysham Road.
Owner Pat Mclean hopes Visitor readers can help her find her beloved female tortoise, who has been in the family for 31 years.

Known simply as 'Tortoise', the pet wandered off through the garden gate last week and has not been seen since.

If you have seen or found Tortoise please call Pat on 01524 852624.
