A NEW Summer Fair in Silverdale will be 'buzzing' with things to do on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August at RSPB Leighton Moss nature reserve.
Seasonal tents will be filled with stalls and activities that promise to be a bit on the wild side!
Children can make 'baggy birds' and 'insect homes', get their face painted, explore the underwater world by 'ponddipping' and venture out on a 'wil
dsquare' walk - not to mention being transfixed by the adventures of 'Fearless Frog' in the puppet show!
Be tempted by the mouth-watering 'Taste of the Country' cakes, find out how surprisingly good hedgerow cookery can be, see local honey being made and enjoy a big banger from the sizzling barbecue.
There will be loads of other local crafts and demonstrations including a chance to try out binoculars, get your bike postcoded, how to make your garden 'wildlife friendly' and a chance to meet local film maker Chris Abram who will be talking about his new DVD 'Bittern Country-our Heritage'.
'The place will be a hive of activity - we hope you'll 'Bee' there!' laughs Jen Walker, visitor officer at the reserve.
