TV SOAP heart-throbs will have female fans screaming when they show off their football skills at Christie Park this Sunday (July 27).
Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street) and Jamie Lomas (bad boy Warren Fox in Hollyoaks) are among the confirmed names to play in a charity match for the Soap Stars XI against The Bay All-Stars – a team of local footballers.

And as both telly hunks have famous girlfriends – Ryan's is Tina O'Brien, who played Sarah in Coronation Street while Jamie is going out with Kym Ryder who plays Michelle Connor in 'Corrie' – perhaps their glamorous gals will also make the trip to Morecambe to cheer their blokes on?

Also confirmed is Ralf Little of The Royle Family and Two Pints of Lager And A Packet of Crisps, Anthony Quinlan who plays Gilly Roach in Hollyoaks and Nico Mirallegro who plays 'Newt' in Hollyoaks.

But the rest of the team of soap superstars is yet to be confirmed.

Kick-off at the charity game at Morecambe FC is 1pm, but organisers Heysham Power Stations suggest fans get into the ground early to be sure of getting the best vantage point for star-spotting.

Asda in Morecambe are backing the event by handing out free footballs to anyone who comes into the store and gives the magic phrase – 'Rover's Return' – to a member of staff.

The gates open at Christie Park at noon. Proceeds go to Cancer Care.
