MORECAMBE FC fans are hoping people will jump on board a new idea to promote The Shrimps.
Local people may have noticed the beautifully liveried 'Bring Me Sunshine' bus The Visitor featured some weeks ago as it plies its trade up and down local roads.

It's seen as a great tie-up between bus operators Stagecoach and the resort.

And n
ow Shrimps supporters hope the company can take the idea a stage further and decorate another of their buses – this time celebrating the town's football club.

A couple of the fans, Sam Hamblett and Aaron Matthews, have set up a group on social networking website, Facebook, to get more people interested.

Sam says: "Many people have seen the Eric Morecambe 'Sunshine' bus travelling between Morecambe and Lancaster.

"Now a few friends have decided what a good idea it would be to get a Morecambe FC bus done in the same way.

"We have set up the group on Facebook as a way of getting names to hand to Morecambe FC and Stagecoach.

"We believe this is a great opportunity for Morecambe FC to show off how proud we are of the club.

"With the help of people signing up to the site and taking signatures, in the near future I believe we might be able to get Stagecoach and Morecambe FC to support this project.

"It would be yet another great step for Morecambe and the club."

Great plan, there are tons of local or Northwest themes stagecoach could put on the local buses, it'd be a boost for the town too as we'd be famous (bit like the themed trams at blackpool!)
