MORE turbines could be seen in Morecambe Bay after the Government passed plans for another off-shore windfram.
Developers, Morecambe Wind, say the new scheme would see 139 turbines sited off Walney Island on the Furness Peninsula.

They would provide enough power for 372,000 homes.

It would be one of the largest windfarms off the UK.

Energy Secretary John Hutton said: "These windfarms demonstrate our commitment to dramatically increase the amount of energy we generate from renewable sources, helping to cut the UK's carbon emissions and secure our energy supplies."
