MONTY Python legend Michael Palin enjoyed a stroll along the prom on Thursday afternoon as the belated summer sunshine brought hundreds of people out onto Morecambe seafront.
Michael, who had been staying in the Midland Hotel, was spotted soaking up the sunshine and chatting to residents, including Dawn Lavinia who runs the promenade trains.

Dawn asked the comedian and TV presenter for a photo but he said he was in a rush, so he took a picture of Dawn instead!

Palin then travelled in a cab to Lancaster train station, where he talked with the driver about the state of the traffic between Morecambe and Lancaster.
