A YOUNG Morecambe man who was battered unconscious by two thugs during a night out in Lancaster has told The Visitor he remembers nothing of the attack.
Jason Widdup suffered memory loss and has been undergoing therapy for speech problems following his ordeal.

CCTV footage shows two men attacking 25-year-old Jason outside the Monsoon shop on Penny Street at around 3.20am on Sunday, May 10.

The offenders appear to have rammed Jason into a wall. He then fell to the floor, whereupon the attackers punched him repeatedly.

"The next thing I remember is waking up in hospital," said Jason.

Jason suffered a broken nose, severe bruising to both eyes and the back of his head and a swollen cheek. He spent three days in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary following the assault.

The CCTV footage shows several witnesses passing by while the attack took place.

Footage of the incident will be on this website on Monday.

If you can help police with their enquiries into the assault on Jason, please call 01524 63333 or the confidential Crimestoppers freephone line on 0800 555111,
