A MAN who threw illegal drugs from a window of his More-cambe home, when police turned up to conduct a search, has been jailed for three years and four months.
The item flung from a rear bedroom window was found to be 45.7 grammes of heroin, and during a search of the home on Whinsfell View police found another small amount of the drug.
The total value was up to £2,620.
Christopher Robinson, 41, was s
entenced at Preston Crown Court, having pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing a drug with intent to supply.
His plea had been entered on the basis that he would have supplied to his wife and a close circle of friends.
The police search took place on December 17 last year.
Robinson claimed the drugs, which he said had been bought for £400, were for his own personal use.
Back in October 1998 he had been given three years prison at Lancaster Crown Court for supplying and possessing drugs with intent to supply.
Mr Keith Thomas, defending, said of the present case: "It was for a supply to a close circle of friends.
"The only profit he made was something of a contribution towards financing his own habit."
Judge Edward Slinger told Robinson: "You knew precisely what you were doing and what would happen to you if you were caught."
