A FATHER-OF-THREE was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison after admitting dealing cannabis and cocaine from his home in Morecambe.
Anthony Cartledge, 35, of Clare-mont Road, was arrested after police raided his home on October 3, 2008 and found drugs valued at around £2,300.

A search warrant was executed and officers found drug dealing paraphernalia including digital scales and cutting agents. Following his arrest, Cartledge admitted selling the class A and B drugs. The court heard he had become unemployed after his business partner became ill and pulled out of a new venture that they were in the process of setting up.

Unable to sustain the business on his own and unable to claim benefits, Cartledge began selling drugs to support his family, the court was told.

Recorder David Knifton sentenced Cartledge to two-and-a-half years in custody for possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

He also received a further 12 months, to run concurrently, for possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
