PLANS to open a new casino in Lancaster have been approved by the City Council Cabinet.
Members voted 11 to six, with three abstentions, in favour of the proposal for a new gambling centre at Riversway House, Morecambe Road - formerly the office building for Legend Communications.

The planning application remains subject to the approval of a Gambling Licence.

Recently The Visitor reported that Our Lady's Catholic College, next door to the proposed casino, was "horrified" by the plans.

this is another example of lancaster planning officers not thinking things through, you can only access this site coming from morecambe, from lancaster you have to go all the way down to scale hall before you can turn round how many will try to do u turns where the roads join
