A KNOCKOUT day of fun is promised at Lancaster City Football Club this Sunday (August 3).
Teams from local businesses are gearing up to compete in a charity 'It's A Knockout' event full of wacky games, giant inflatables, family fun activities and 1,500 gallons of water!

Taking part in the day's fun and frolics – based on the hit 70s an
d 80s TV game show – include teams from The Bay, Lancaster Fire Station, Sunnyfield care services, Tesco in the Arndale Centre, Stagecoach buses, Lancaster Royal Infirmary, BT in Lancaster, Mitchell's, the Farmhouse Tavern in Lancaster and many more.

Martin Shenton and the Regent Park Studios stunt team will be on hand for demonstrations.

Other attractions will include demonstrations from the fire brigade and police, kids' rides, inflatables, ice cream and burger stalls, and a car boot sale. Car booters will be charged £7 per car with all money going to charities.

Please call Wendy on 07921725986 or e-mail Chris on it'sacharityknockout@hotmail.co.uk for more information.

Donations are also being taken of unwanted gifts for a massive tombola on the day.

The event will raise money for charities including St John's Hospice, Operation Florin, Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, When You Wish Upon A Star, Macmillan Cancer and Animal Care.

Gates open at 8am and It's A Knockout will start at 1pm.

Admission is only £1 for adults and only 50p for children and OAPs.
