Boat blocks road at Sunderland Point

VILLAGERS on the Sunderland Point peninsula were cut off by a boat which had broken free from its moorings and completely blocked the road on Friday night.
The eight-ton Lady Barbara was washed up on the only access road to the village during stormy weather.

A crane was brought in to move the Lady Barbara from the road. Police were alerted to the incident at around 5am on Saturday and the boat was moved by the council at noon.
