PLANNING permission has been granted for Westgate Wanderers youth football club to have a new home venue on King Georges field.
The plans also include the erection of a single storey building for changing facilities, the siting of two storage containers and associated car parking.

The approval of the proposal means the surrounding fields will continue to be used as playing fields as they have done for a number of years.

The move is part of Morecambe FC's plans to build a new stadium at Westgate on land which can now be vacated by the Westgate Wanderers youth teams.

What's your view on the use of CCTV?
More the merrier - if you've done nothing wrong, you've nothing to worry about
Only appropriate in certain crime-spot areas
I'd be very worried if we had too many
