The fantastic fashions, dancing and music of the 1950s will bring The Platform to life this weekend.

A HIGH octane rock ‘n’ roll weekender is promised when Tutti Frutti returns to Morecambe this Friday and Saturday.

The annual 1950s event – part of the town’s Top 20 season – is one of the most colourful on the Morecambe festivals calendar and promises two days of teddy boys and girls, sideburns and blue suede shoes!

As always Tutti Frutti organisers have brought some of the very best rock ‘n’ roll acts to perform at the event.

Tutti Frutti starts this Friday night (July 29) at The Platform with upbeat energised rock ‘n’ roll from Colin Paul and The Persuaders, and spicy rock ‘n’ roll from The Bobcats.

On Saturday (July 30) during the day, The Platform outdoor stage will play host to free music from The Black Cat Trio. There will be dance displays from the Happy Feet School of Dance from Morecambe, plus DJs, traditional fairground rides, stalls, vintage vehicles and the town’s own 1950s-style Sunset Ices ice cream van.
