The Heartbreaks release new music video

Morecambe band The Heartbreaks’ new single is their best effort yet and the accompanying video is set to turn heads.

‘Absolved’ was described by respected radio DJ Steve Lamacq as “like a Motown record turned upside down” and it is certainly a big, big soul tune – refreshingly different to anything in the charts at the moment.

The uplifting track’s shimmering splendour is echoed in a sophisticated but ever so slightly tongue-in-cheek video where the Morecambe four-piece pay homage to Motown vocal groups like The Four Tops and The Drifters.

This is The Heartbreaks as you have never seen them before, complete with silver suit jackets, bow ties and a full-blown dance routine!

‘Absolved’ is released on May 25, ahead of the group’s second album ‘We May Yet Stand A Chance’ on June 2.

The Heartbreaks are Matthew Whitehouse, Joseph Kondras, Ryan Wallace and Chris ‘Deaks’ Deakin.
