School kids’ take on Shakespeare tragedy

Pupils at Morecambe Community High School will take to the stage in Leeds to show off their acting skills.

The students will perform a half-hour version of Romeo and Juliet at the Carriageworks Theatre on Saturday, October 19.

Fifteen-year-olds Shay Kennedy and Ellie Cozens play the lead roles of the tragic lovers.

The play is part of the annual Shakespeare Schools Festival andperformances start at 7pm.
