Night of the living dead

IF THERE'S one man I'm making a bee-line for in the event of a zombie apocalypse, it's author and playwright Ben Muir.

Take my word for it, there's no man better equipped and more knowledgable about how to fight off the flesh-hungry undead when trying to save yourself and the world from zombie attack.

"I've always had this thing about zombies," explained Ben. "I actually used to be scared of them so I needed to do something to overcome my fear."

Last year Ben, who runs murder mystery company 'After Dark', set about producing a four-man improvised comedy show called 'How To Survive a Zombie Apocalypse', educating audiences in a range of zombie survival techniques.

"We wanted to make it silly and set up this school of survival," said Ben, who lives in Lancaster with his partner Lee.

"It's run by this pompous self-help guru called Dr Dale who believes he is the saviour of humanity."

Ben plays the lead role of Dr Dale and roped in three Lancaster actors David Ash, who plays Donald, Jess Napthine, who plays Judy and partner Lee Cooper who plays Tristan to join his zombie fighting team.

"The show runs like a proper seminar," said 34-year-old Ben.

"Everyone in the audience wears name badges and people get to ask questions."
