MORECAMBE girl Lisa Allen is turning heads in the kitchen after cooking up a dish that is fit for a king.

Winning the honour of cooking for Prince Charles in the BBC TV series Great British Menu crowned a spectacular year for the champion chef, who has emerged as one of England’s finest young talents as head of the kitchen at Northcote Manor near Clitheroe.

Lisa’s mouth-watering starter of Lakeland wild rabbit, Cumbrian ham and leek turnover with piccalilli and a delicious puff pastry wowed the judges, as her dish scooped top prize and a very special royal seal of approval.

“Cooking for a prince is something you dream about,” said Lisa.
