Hotfoot from their latest tour of Japan, Morecambe band The Heartbreaks are set to go back on the road again.
The cool quartet will play Leeds, London, Manchester, Liverpool and Nottingham this November.
Our boys recently returned from playing the Fuji Rock Festival in Niigata, Japan, alongside some of rock’s biggest names including Arcade Fire, Biffy Clyro and Damon Albarn.
Then last Wednesday they played a well-received gig at Lancaster Library, supporting up-and-coming Chicago musician Ezra Furman (inset).
This year has seen the lads release their second album We May Yet Stand A Chance and two singles from it, Hey Hey Lover and the sumptuous Absolved, to glowing reviews yet criminally little commercial recognition.
Despite the mainstream’s general refusal to recognise our dynamic foursome’s exceptional musicianship, heartfelt songcraft and marketable image, the band continues to attract a dedicated following of fans who will no doubt come out in force this November to support the best pop group Morecambe has ever produced.
The full tour itinerary is as follows:
November 4 - Oporto, Leeds
November 5 - Lexington, London
November 6 - Sound Central, Manchester
November 8 - East Village Arts Club, Liverpool
November 28 - Bodega, Nottingham
