Lighting up the West End

The Lantern Festival parade.
The Lantern Festival parade.

The annual Lantern Festival will bring festive music, colour and magic to Morecambe’s West End tomorrow (December 11) from 6pm.

There will be a parade of handmade lanterns of all shapes and sizes made and carried by members of the local community, with music from the carnival streetband Baybeat.

The parade will start at Sandylands School and will weave its way around Sefton Road, Alexandra Road, Clarendon Road, Westminster Road, Regent Road, Albert Street and Yorkshire Street, ending at organisers More Music’s building The Hothouse on Devonshire Road, where there will be more entertainment and live music for all ages.
