Children’s author Marilyn Edwards is going ‘on tour’ in the local area.
Following on from the release of her latest book, Magnificat, Marilyn will be visiting Dallas Road and Moorside Primary Schools to talk to pupils.
She will be talking to a Young Writers’ Workshop at Lancaster City Library.
And she’ll also be at Waterstones in the Lancaster Marketgate centre on Saturday, June 22, 10.30am to 12.30pm, followed by the King Street branch, from 2-3pm. She’ll be signing copies of her book and there’ll be the opportunity to meet her in person at both Waterstones shops.
Marilyn who lives at Hutton Roof, near Kirkby Lonsdale, has won praise from top children’s author Jacqueline Wilson for Magnificat .
Tracy Beaker creator Jacqueline described Marilyn as the “Queen of Cat Stories”.
And she went on to say: “Magnificat is her best book yet, a truthful and touching story of a boy and a cat. It’s a real pageturner and totally heart-warming.”
We’ve got five copies of Marilyn’s book to give away and she will personally sign them for the winners.
