IN last week's Visitor, Coun Peter Robinson says: "The West End regeneration looks like it's been knocked on the head."
He's right about blood, sweat and tears. We went through them all and more.

All the meetings, all the plans and the heartbreak of losing our home and business as in the end we sold to the council – as did a good few more – and what was it all for? Nearly six years down the line and we've more boarded-up houses standing empty.

I know a lot of work has been done in the West End and great it looks too. But I said at the time I would be an OAP before they got started... guess what?

I know plans change and money runs out, but all those involved with the masterplan were so insistent that it would go ahead.

I guess what we are feeling is was it all for nothing?
