IS my eyesight failing me or have the plans for the development of the central promenade changed dramatically since the public
consultation days held at The Platform a year or two back?
In my opinion the public have been persuaded (or should I state 'duped') into accepting whatever Urban Splash have decided is good for the regeneration of Morecambe, regardless of the original concept that was most popular with the public who proffered their
opinions.

We will lose the views out over Morecambe Bay in the name of development.

Who will lose out? The public and visitors. And who will gain? The builders and businesses, of course!

The public are apathetic because their opinions count for nothing in the eyes of the developers whose motto seems to be 'Wealth abounds more than beauty surrounds'.
