I AM writing in reply to your wonderful recent 'Pride in Morecambe' article.
My husband and I moved here from Sheffield four years ago, and it is the best decision we have ever made.

We were made very welcome from the first day we arrived, with neighbours making tea for the removal men as well as us.

Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We have made plenty of use of the wonderful prom that has been remodelled, with those stunning views across the bay.

Yes, there may be some places that would benefit from street cleaning but I've found Morecambe to be quite clean and tidy on the whole.

We'd certainly never consider moving from here. It's proving to be a wonderful place for our grandson (20 months) to visit, especially as he loves the big red train that runs along the prom.

And as for the Midland, what a wonderful job has been done on bringing it back to life.

Yes we are certainly very happy living here and definitely celebrate the day we came here.
