THERE is no doubt that the regeneration in Morecambe will contribute to the success of small businesses in the town.
It is therefore vital that all tiers of government in the local vicinity make a contribution to the regeneration programme.

The upkeep of the area's roads is a crucial factor in rebuilding a town that used to thrive on local high street trading.

The county council must now use its authority to attract small
firms to set up on run-down areas of our town, such as Queen Street.

I believe, as do many local business owners, that a resurfacing of the road on Queen Street will be a beneficial step towards attracting new businesses to be established.

We really have to support this regeneration scheme with everything we have, and support from the county council in street refurbishment and maintenance is fundamental to the future of Morecambe.
