Dawn over Morecambe Bay
Where could I find a sight more rare than this,
Where else on earth could greater beauty lie.
The sun has touched the
mountains with a kiss,
The sea laps softly shoreward with a sigh.
A pristine ray all perfect floods the bay,
Brings morning light where lesser suns have shone.
Gulls scream a raucous welcome to the day,
The sands shine gold beneath the climbing sun.
A lonely curlew stalks his
awkward way
Then spreads his wings and gracefully is gone.
So has it been since time and life began,
So will it be beyond the age of man.

As posted elsewhere, try the Hebrides or Firth of Clyde where the sands in places are also white, not just 'gold'. The way some people go on in here you would think Morecambe is the only place anywhere to experience sunsets.
