MANCUNIAN punk poet John Cooper-Clarke is returning to the area to perform live at Preston's 53 Degrees on Friday, February 27.
He's performed in Morecambe in the past and is a big fan of the resort, so when we were offered an interview with the elusive fellow it was too good an opportunity to turn down.
Known for his witty cynical poetry, including 'Chickentown', 'I Wanna Be Yours' and 'Beasley Street', John taks to Lauren Holden (or as he poetically put it, ' The Visitor Inquisitor') about why he loves The Midland Hotel, 'being spat at' in those heady days of punk, and opening for The Sex Pistols and Joy Division.
Apologies for the poor sound quality - John's phone line was bad.
You can read a full interview with the man himself in next week's The Visitor.
