A TRUE Irish music legend is coming to Morecambe to play in the most appropriate setting possible.
Derek Warfield will bring his band The Wolfe Tones to Ma Murphy's Irish bar on Wednesday, May 7 for a night of classic Irish music as part of his 'The Night Is...Young' UK tour.

Derek is a singer, songwriter, noted historian and charismatic founding member of the Wolfe Tones.

Performing with the band for 42 years, he has beguiled and entertained audiences worldwide, he has been their voice with stirring introductions and amusing anecdotes that have endeared him to thousands of fans.

He has written and recorded over 60 songs and ballads and his most famous albums include 'The Foggy Dew' and '25th Anniversary'.

Considered a legendary figure on the Irish music scene, Derek continues to tour the world, taking with him the story of Ireland, which he has championed for over 40 years.

The current line-up of The Wolfe Tones features Padraig Allen, Damaris Woods and Jim Woods.

Their new double CD set is a combination of classic Irish crowd pleasers and a showcase of pure musical talent.

Tickets to see the Wolfe Tones cost £10 and are available from Ma Murphy's on Lines Street, Morecambe.
