A SINGER with chart-topping pop band Liberty X is coming to perform at the Old Hall in Heysham.
Kev Simm, a member of the group best known for their 2002 number one hit 'Just A Little', will sing live at a free gig on Sunday, September 13.

Kev formed Liberty X with Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Kelli Young and Tony Lundon after they all reached the final 10 of the smash hit reality ITV show 'Popstars' in 2000 – but missed out on a place in the winning band.

Although the winners (Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan and Danny Foster) formed Hear'Say, Liberty X arguably went on to achieve greater success. They won a Brit award for Best British Single for 'Just A Little' in 2003 and charted with five other Top 10 singles.

Since Liberty X split in 2007, Kev has launched a solo career and he also has an album coming out soon.

He is expected to be on stage at the Old Hall from 9.30pm.
