THE co-organiser of an Edinburgh Fringe-style festival is urging performers in Morecambe and Lancaster to sign up for next year's event.
Back in July this year, 35 different acts performed in five small city centre venues in Preston as part of the cities inaugural Tringe Festival.

In 2009 Lancaster based performers were at the heart of the festival, including improvisational group After Dark Theatre Company, who previewed their actual Edinburgh Festival performance 'How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse'.

Lancaster-based performer Cliff Laine also brought his off-beat show 'John Cage's Disco Classics' to the inaugural Preston Tringe and Al Alvarez performed his cult show 'Alan and his Certificates'.

Screaming Theatre, the organisers behind Tringe, are planning to make the second festival in the city bigger and better next July.

* If you'd like to perform at Tringe in 2010, visit www.tringe.co.uk.
