ARE you a budding Spielberg? If so then a series of new film-making workshops in Morecambe could be for you.
Based at the town's brand new film studios, the 'Hollywood Holidays' and 'Script 2 Screen' courses will give young people the chance to get a foot-hold in the film and TV production industries.

Under the supervision of the experts from Workshop Productions, the resident film production company at Regent Park Studios, you can get in the thick of the lights, camera and action.

'Script 2 Screen' is a series of evening classes teaching 14-17-year-olds and 18-21-year-olds everything they need to know about making a film.

At the end of the five-week course, friends and family will be invited to a special red carpet premier of your movie masterpiece.

The courses begin on August 4 and 5 and run from 6pm to 8pm.

'Hollywood Holidays' is a day-long series of summer workshops for children, where your kids can learn how to make a short film. These courses run from August 4-15 and August 18-29.

There are only limited places available so book now to avoid disappointment.

HAVE you ever wanted to break into the production side of pro wrestling – maybe you've dreamed of being a member of the ringside camera team or longed to produce your own wrestling DVD?

If so, then your wait is over, thanks to an exciting project by Morecambe's wrestling company – the XWA – and Regent Park Studios' Workshop Productions.

Their special two-day course in Live Event production is ideal for anyone wanting to break into pro wrestling behind-the-scenes.

The course will teach you how to produce, film and edit a live event for DVD and/or TV, with emphasis on practical camera-operating knowledge.

This course is also ideal for anyone wanting to learn how to produce DVD/ TV quality footage of any live event – for example a gig, play, wedding or even a short film.

Successful applicants for this course will also receive the chance to be a member of the XWA's brand new production team.

The Live Event course will run on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, from 9am to 5pm, at Regent Park Studios both days.
Total course cost is £70.
