New giant ferry coming to port

THE final vessel in Seatruck’s series of four new roll on freight ferries will be deployed in Heysham soon.

The Seatruck Precision will join her sister vessel Seatruck Performance which entered service in Heysham earlier this year.

The new vessels which have been purpose built for the tight confines of Heysham Port represent a huge investment by Seatruck in the local economy.

The new vessels are the largest ferries that have ever been deployed in Heysham with a length of 142m and capacity for 150 trucks.

Seatruck has spent £100 million on the combined build cost to invest in Heysham Port.
