It will be a blast from the past when a Morecambe pub reopens on January 29.

The former Ma Murphy’s Irish Pub, which closed in April, is reverting to its previous name of The Bull after a £320,000 refurbishment by Blackpool-based pub chain Amber Taverns.

Twelve new jobs will be created and the new landlady’s name is Fiona Jennings. The Bull will show major sporting events on Sky Sports TV.

Former Ma Murphy’s landlord Colin Smith is now running a pub in Cheshire.
