HOLIDAYMAKERS and visitors to Morecambe will soon be able to enjoy playing on an 'adventure mini golf course' on the promenade.
Planning permission has been granted for the mini golf venture which will be sited on the landscaped area next to the clock tower.

Also, a shop selling beach items and ice creams and hiring deckchairs will be opening in an empty section of the former women's toilets near the clock tower.

The 12-hole mini golf course will be surrounded by a fence to prevent golf balls, and more importantly, children from leaving the site.
The course will only be used during the summer months or at most from March to October.

Councillors agreed the idea should be fully supported on the basis it was a clear attempt to attract visitors to the promenade, benefiting the economy and Morecambe's status.
