A charity which helps people suffering from heart disease has been given £1,300.
The North West Cardiomyopathy Support Group in Morecambe raised the money with a walk along Morecambe Promenade and two supporters taking part in the 10K Great Manchester Run.

The walk, from Heysham Village Church to the Eric Morecambe statue, raised more than £800 and Clare and Nick Simpson's run raised a further £500.

All the proceeds went to the Cardiomyopathy Association, a charity that offers information and support to those affected by the inherited heart disease.
